- Working with me: Three Things To Know
-
- Northeast Indiana has shaped my education and career. I graduated from Purdue University and earned a graduate certificate from Indiana-Purdue University Fort Wayne School of Public & Environmental Affairs. In 2011, I earned the Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) designation from the International Economic Development Council.
- I’ve been working in economic development for over a decade, with local experience in Allen County and Greater Fort Wayne, Inc., and state experience with the Indiana government. At Greater Fort Wayne, Inc. I developed our branded business retention and expansion program, led a team that prioritized investments for shovel-ready sites, public-private partnerships for spec development and the cultivation of relationships with real estate and consulting professionals. I have facilitated negotiations for companies such as General Mills, BAE Systems and General Motors.
- I took a year long “sabbatical” from economic development to work for an international Tier 1 automotive supplier, VOSS Automotive, where I was the marketing communications manager. There, I developed the first marketing and communications strategy for the North American business unit. In late 2017, I took on an exciting new role: Mom. In the remaining free time, I volunteer for a handful of area nonprofits and am an active board member for Science Central, northeast Indiana’s regional hands on science center.
