Yes. Candidates can create a profile and apply to multiple openings through AEP’s online application system.
Application Process
Candidates should apply online through AEP's Careers page. After finding a role of interest, submit your application, resume and any required materials through the online application process. AEP does not accept resumes via email and only considers materials submitted through an online application.
Required qualifications are the minimum education, experience, certifications, skills or other criteria needed to be considered for a position. Preferred qualifications are additional experience or skills that may add value to the role but are not required for consideration. Candidates who meet the required qualifications are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every preferred qualification.
Application Status and Next Steps
Your application will be submitted through AEP’s Workday system for review. Depending on the position, candidates may also be asked to complete an employment test or assessment. To track your application, sign into your candidate profile on Workday to view the status of your submitted applications and any updates from the hiring team. Hiring timelines vary by role.
AEP will never ask candidates to pay a deposit, fee or other payment as part of the hiring process, including over the phone. Candidates should be cautious of recruitment fraud and rely only on official AEP communications and application channels.
Once your application is submitted, it can’t be changed. To update your candidate profile, log in to Workday. From there, you can update your contact information, resume, work experience, education and job preferences. Be sure to save your changes once completed. Your profile can also be used to apply for jobs, set up job alerts and track the status of your application.
Interview Process
The interview process varies by position but typically includes an application review, a recruiter screening, and one or more interviews with members of the hiring team. Interview formats may be virtual or in person, depending on the role, location, recruiting event and business needs.
Candidates can expect a mix of behavioral and role-specific questions designed to assess their skills and experience for the position. Behavioral questions focus on how you've handled situations in the past and often begin with prompts such as, "Tell me about a time when..."
Example behavioral question:
"Tell me about a time you worked with a team to overcome a challenge. What was your role, and what was the outcome?"
Some positions may also include assessments or testing as part of the selection process.
