Students & Interns
At AEP, we provide college students with several opportunities to gain work experience in their career fields through internships and cooperative education programs (co-ops). Our program serves students enrolled in a full-time college or university program.
Engineering students must be enrolled in programs accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) and have a 3.0 GPA or above.
As the best and highest-rated internship in the energy and renewables industry, students can expect to gain real-world experience.
Qualifications & Duties
Internship
- Completed freshman year of college
- Work a minimum of one intern rotation, typically in summer
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Co-op
- Completed freshman year of college
- Work a minimum of two rotations, typically one full-time rotation during the school semester, and one during the summer
- Must be 18 years of age or older
