On a Roll: Global Papermaker Speeds Growth

When one of the world’s largest papermakers, Italy-based Sofidel Group, targeted Oklahoma for expansion and needed on-site access to river and rail, they turned to our team for help. Our operating company, Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO), owned the land and galvanized local and state partners, including the Tulsa Chamber, Oklahoma Department of Commerce, and Cherokee Nation, to help Sofidel secure the perfect site. Initial steps to become fully operational by mid-2020 are now underway. The Oklahoma Economic Development Council recognized our effort as Project of the Year in 2019. Together with Sofidel, we achieved boundless possibilities in the Sooner State.
